Oh memories. I've been proposed to once. He was a beautiful guy, who I cared for very much, and who I respect and admire. I loved who he was as a person, but I certainly didn't love him. He was a NAVY seal, absolutely one of the kindest, amazing men in the world. He of course felt like we should cease the moment, and I couldn't dream of such a thing at the age of 18 so I said no. But of course we broke up a few months after that. He picked a ring, and it broke his heart but I couldn't marry him, then and I certainly wouldn't marry him now.

No, although I have been married for 14 years, I wasn't proposed to it was more like okay we either get married or start a family without being married. I guess I really never considered it, but now that I think about it I never gave myself a chance to get a proposal...

Yes, three people, multiple times per person. The last time the last person asked me, I started to cry because I wished he wouldn't do that AGAIN. :P

The whole "down on his knee with the ring" thing is overrated--especially when it's not the person you WANT to be down on his knee...

Yes 4 times. One I was married to.
One engaged and, I broke it off because, once we were engaged he wanted all my time, didn't want me to be with my friends anymore.
2 of them, I said no.

My ex husband the first time and I said no, ask me after a few months, so he did and I said yes. After over 19 years of marriage we were divorced as I started proceedings, and before it was final he proposed again and I said No. Then once again about three months ago, but I have no desire to marry and this would entail moving to Kona, Hawaii and my two wonderful children reside here in California and so does my elderly father.

Yes, I've been proposed to twice and was actually engaged for over 6 months with one before I broke the engagement when I found out he was still with an ex and the second time I was engaged for 9 months when he told me he wasn't sure if marriage would work, he was too much of a mama's boy and let his mom give him doubts about marriage...:D

Just my ex husband a year before we got married in the 1970s while in college.

Many men these days are not even thinking about marrying for the first or second time. All I hear about is the 'excuse' of how many divorces they friends and other family members are or have gone through - and they don't want to take that chance with anyone.

Excuses........excuses

You have to take chances in life sometimes......that is what living is all about.

No i did it and I hate it. My husband never initiates anything. He forgets that he has to do some stuff too and act once a while. So I told him ,what do you think if we get ingaged this summer( 9 years ago), he said what ever you say, you let me know when. a year later I told him what you think if we get married, he told me you let me know when,so I can take the ime of off work.HOW ROMANTIC.So we went to the court and signed some papers and got married.

yes, about 4 times. first 1 I accepted and was married 35 yrs until he got killed in a car accident. 2. right after husband's death, I said emphatically a no, I'd caught him cheating. 3. a pastor but He would get angry real fast and half of the time I didn't even know just what I'd done to make him so angry. Plus he was so jealous and I'm friendly by nature, love to chatter with everybody. 4. I said yes again,
we are engaged and plan marriage this year. He's a man I dreamed of all my life, however he does have some qualities likewise to my former husband. I can hardly wait for the big day.
