WTF??

About an hour ago I heard some stuff about things that have transpired within my family that is so bad I'm beginning to reconsider whether I even want a family of my own. How would I look if I haven't started a family at 30, 35, 45 years old?

My husband didnt get married until last yr he was 34. Nothing wierd about it, he wasnt ready until he met little ol me:) Anyhoo, I have no idea about what you found out and it isnt important that I know. What is important is you working through things before you start a family of your own for as long as it takes.

It doesn't matter how it "looks"! Do what makes you happy!

If I were to meet you and discover this, I would think it was a bit unusual - but not in a bad way. I would guess that something had made a major impact on your life and your chosen lifestyle. If I had the opportunity to learn more about you or become friends, I would probably ask you about it - nicely, not in a way that would make you feel as if you were being judged. I would admire someone who put off something so major to sort through their feelings about the matter and make sure it was right for them.

Regardless, how you would "look" really should be of no concern to you. What you do is your choice and your business - and I would much rather have someone who was happy about getting married and having a family do it, rather than have someone make major life decisions they are happy with. People make "milestone" decisions and regret them the rest of their lives, they are miserable.

Don't worry about how you look and how others will judge. As you sort through some of these "bad" issues you have discovered, keep an open mind for your future. You don't have to make a decision right NOW. And, people have not walked in your shoes.

It's your business, and I'm sure there's much more to you than your ability or desire to have a family. Don't worry about it.
