Answerologists: Be Donald Trump, am I hired? / Career / 12:45 AM - Monday May 12, 2008
A Sweet Sarah (Female, Chicago, 22-25, Self-Employed) asked:

Answerologists I need your help! This is my career and I have to know if I'm going to get this job or note, so bare with me. *wink. Figuratively folks! Figuratively.

The scenerio:

- I interned at a TV station for a summer
- I finished college then applied for a job at said TV station
- I know everyone there very well and eventually got an interview in the sales department (Everyone says good things about me yada yada yada. At least that's what I'm told. Oy!)
- I went in for one interview, then ANOTHER interview with the local sales manager, the person doing the hiring i.e my boss if I got hired and the person in charge of the station's websites.
- they invited me in for yet ANOTHER interview with HR.
- there are 2-4 openings available... this is key info.
- I said great follow-ups to everyone.

Now why would they want me to meet HR? 3 interviews!I'm not about to count my chickens before they hatch, but isn't that a good sign? I had great interviews.

I always went by, the more follow up interviews the better.

The first person like what they saw in you. But now they have more questions and/or want you to meet other people in the office to get yours and theirs reactions.

so consider it all pluses for you. When they have you filling out W4s, you know you're in.

once HR is involved, its usually to iron out the final odds n ends....tax forms...salary...drug testing...etc...they usually dont get involved until the company is offering the position.
