I believe that a good relationship is founded on open communication and emotional intimacy. I don't think true love can exist without this as you never really get to know each other from the inside out. I don't want to be with a man that I can't share my feelings with. And I don't want to be with a man who can't share his feelings with me.

My bf likes to hear some feelings; but at a certain point his eyes glaze over which means he's had enough. I think most men are fine with some feelings as long as you're not going to ask them to open up and share their feelings.

Personally, I have a hard time dealing with feelings and emotions, so in many cases, I'd rather not know. Additionally, whenever things aren't going that great for her, I automatically assume I screwed up somewhere, which of course pisses me off.
So you see, sometimes it's just better not to share everything.

I know I'm not a guy, but I thought I'd share my experience which has been they are all different.

My last one was extremely uncomfortable with any show of emotion, but my current b/f wants to know every damn thing I'm thinking. LOL

I think it depends on the personality.
My husband does NOT want to hear all my feelings...he would prefer I condence my thoughts and ideas into one-liners.
It's not much fun.
And it's hard to create intimacy when so little is communicated.
