An Alternative Girl (Female, Who Cares?, Financial / Banking) asked:

I have never had so much trouble buying a swimsuit in my life. The first one, coming from the UK, they can't find in any of their shops, to send to me. Fine, cancel the order. The next one, different bikini, different retailer, tells me it's stuck in Customs.
I have one place left to look, in the custom bra shop, otherwise I may just have to stuff the F cups into DD cups, and pop out everywhere.
Did you know how hard it is to find proper fitting bikinis?

No, I just wanted to know, apropos of nothing, really ... where are you planning to go to the beach this year? And when?

Preaching to the choir.
DDD's, the rest of me is little. One piece is out. 2-piece sets are also out.
I have to go with a custom made, or tailor it myself, it's a good thing I can sew!

For whatever reason they expect you to be fat if you have breasts, so either the band is half a mile too long, or the cups don't even cover a quarter of what NEEDS covering!

I feel your pain :(

My swimsuit has always been a pair of cut off shorts... that is,if where I was swimming was public. If not then it was just me and the wind.
I think being a girl if you were to add a t-shirt to that then you would be set.

We have custom bikini shops here in California. I am sure you have one not too far away, too. You can choose the style and fabric, then they measure you and in a week, (well, now that it's getting warmer, I'm sure it'll be longer), you can pick up your bikini. If it's not right, they'll fix it.

Try QVC. I know they have a show in England and they have a website. They have a show called Fashion Solutions and it was just on yesterday with hard to fit swimsuits....Go check out the website.

I pretty much have the same problem. I have looked everywhere throughout the years. Bathing suits don't come with tops that are big enough.....unless you want to wear a old lady suit!
